CTA members should contact their local association if they feel they have a problem that may require legal assistance. We also help non-CTA educators with job-related matters.

Dismissal and Discipline

Depending on your classification most public school teachers have rights they can invoke when threatened with discipline or dismissal. These often include the right to a hearing. Don’t go it alone if you are facing such a situation. We can help.

Credential Issues

Educators generally have a protected property interest in their hard earned professional credentials. However, various mistakes or problems can affect that and potentially result in a proceeding to revoke or take disciplinary action against those credentials. Our office represents teachers and credential holders at all levels of credential disputes, including before the Committee of Credentials, in an administrative hearing, and in Superior Court if necessary.

We assist educators with a variety of other disputes, to include pay issues, disability accommodation, and classification disputes. For CTA members we also offer free consultations on other legal issues and reduced rates if you retain us.
